Feigned Virtue

She feigned a headache. This was the 'n+1'th time. Realisation dawned on him. It could only imply that she didn't enjoy what he did to her.

For the first time, the music teacher understood and deplored the easy virtue that came to the female race -and that too to his 5 year old prodigy student ! - the ability to lie to avoid hurting another's feelings.

My entry for this week's 3WW

NOTE : 'Did' here refers to the music teacher's scolding and forcing his prodigy to practice long hours

Thanks for the note! I certainly felt we were leading up to something more dramatic! But that's the art of let-down writing! You fooled us!

Well written. Why only females, males can also lie equally well:-)You should have changed the third line rather than adding the note at the end.
