Am so damn happy today ...
Will be leaving office in the afternoon after my appraisals, to vote .... And after that , am gonna finish off my stitching stuff , and then go out with my friends.
Then comes packing ...
And finally on Sunday ..I am off .......................
Monday is my birthday ... I am celebrating my 23rd birthday for the first time in my life with all my cousins and grandparents. And also, for the first time , won't have my dad and sis with me on my bday :( But , atleast I will get to talk to them . And see them after a week. :)
Our first stop will be to a temple in AP.
After that we are planning to visit caves. After all ,it is always nice to know how and what our ancestors - the cave men and women - did.
I have always wanted to look at volcanoes and caves .... This time around , atleast caves materialize.
My fascination with caves started when i read about eskimos ... I always wondered what it would feel like to live with a rounded roof instead of a straight horizontal one. And curved walls rather than vertical strainght ones.
Then, got to know that bears also lived in caves ... This confused me coz in the 'Goldilocks' story, bears lived in houses ... and I liked the ' Goldilocks ' story very much. In fact, my cousins and I used to pretend that our table was a cave. We used to cover the table with a long bedspread and crawl under the table pretending that the bedsheet was a door or an eskimo entrance.
My next inspiration for cave fantasy is solely coz of ' Jungle Book ' ... Mowgli lived in a cave with the wolves .... Was so sad when he had to go back to human civilization in the end.
Then came ' White Fang ' ... Another awesome piece of work !!
By now, I was hooked to caves.
And when I read in " Heritage Of India " that people used to draw on caves, I was absolutely in love with them.
Crave a Cave
Carve the crave in a cave
