Why can't guys behave ??
What is it with guys ? Why are they so unruly and ill-behaved ?
I am in a different city. Came to the swimming pool here. Was not sure of the ladies batch timings , and reached the pool an hour too early. And the guard who issues the tickets looked away when I asked him for a ticket ... and when I asked him again , he said : "M'am it is not the ladies batch yet." . I asked him if there was a problem. He again looked away and said:" I'd advise you not to go in this batch. You can never predict what the guys can do".
Damn ! Every pool in every city in India has just 1 batch for women and about 5 batches for men , in addition to common bacthes throughout the day. why the injustice ? Dont women enjoy swimming as much as men ??
If only guys could behave well, would have been in the pool and not writing this article. I still have 45 minutes to go before I can enter the pool. Hopefully, it wont rain then !!

You could've always strolled around the neighbourhood instead of blogging about it ;). I suppose there are more batches for men because they form a larger percentage of people who swim. And hey, swimming in the rain is fun :D

And if you are not getting enough pools to swim then just FLY AWAY!!!

Well, I guess this depends on many factors. I remember the swimming pool where we used to go had teenagers swimming in one batch. I mean, imagine teenage girls and boys, all in the pool at the same time. Then imagine what can go wrong.

Well...I have been to 2-3 pools out here, n seen both ladies n gents in a same pool.
yes, theres a seperate batch for ladies...
But..I don't know Y 'can't guys behave well' be slapped on all guys.
Maybe its coz we r brought up like this 'both sexes shudn't be in a pool', memorable teasing scenes ..thanks to bollywood , The reserved thinking of our culture etc.
I tell you, guys are well behaved in pools :-)

And - Rules might have been made acc to the number of ppl coming for pool? more men?

everyone is not like that, but even a single instance we can't predict the consequence, so its the mindset of the people to take care by rules.
I'll be honest. Here in Canada, that sort of thing doesn't happen. Not saying we're perfect here. Far from it. But all in all, I'd say there is at least a little more respect for women from men.
i guess thats what they swimming against the tide!! ;-P

Hope times will change and more women line up for pool.Then there will be 4-5 batches for females and only one for male.
What the watchman told is true...you never know how spoiled brats will behave with a lone(beautiful?)female.

most of indian guys misbehave. unfortunate but true.
not to defend, but there is another part of the story. In india guys and gals live in isolated world, so most guys see girls as objects of desire, not as normal human beings.
luckily i have never heard of batching in swimming pools here in ca.

gotta do somethign with numbers i guess.
1) maybe there is more men going to a swimming pool than women. so they have more batches. but it may also be true that unruly behavior of men is keeping women at home.
2) the misbehavior in this case is when a women walks into a large group of men. The same i think hold good for a man who walks into a large group of women. Ask any man who dared to wlk into a womens college answer that.
Having said that i agree that behavior of indian men have to improve a lot and it may have to do with social values. Though we harp on Indian value and moral high grouds, Its true that men in general treat women as objects of desire

That's a big question. Men don't behave...they don't know how to. And we girls suffer almost everyday :-(
