The art of daintiness

Every wondered how some women look so elegant and poised ? It is not about their figure .... even an over weight woman can look stunning if she wills it.

The art lies in being happy about yourself. The poised walk comes from a happy , self satisfied step.

The elegance comes from self respect.

When you start feeling good about yourself , it shows ! - in your hair , your smile , and your general outlook.
Why am I typing all this ? Because , I'm happy about myself today ....
I had made a couple of technical statements, and proved them right today !
I lost a bit of weight , and hence I feel lighter ... not like it matters too much though !
And more than that, cleared a couple of things that were on my mind with the people involved ... now , can behane normally with them .. this is a vague statement .. but you know how when you have some misunderstandings / grudges against people , you go out of your way to ignore them ? And it makes things look so awkward. Once you get the load off your chest, things seem better. You might no longer want to have anything to do with them, but it is easier to ignore people once you tell them exactly why you are bugged with them , right ?

Can't wait for Saturday .. when I'll be off to my beloved library, and will get time to spend on myself as well

remembered after a long time a poem by Mahakavi bharathiyar - which most of the tamilians believe should have been the national poet. I am not sure if he is acclamed in gassate as national poet or if it is rabindarnath tagore. but in tamil he is still called as national poet. your post reminded me a poem of his.

he speaks about how how a gal of 21th ceuntry should be .

nimirntha nadddai... ner konda parvai... it goes like this.

when i read you post - this poem came in my mind. I am not sure if you are a tamilan. if you are you couldnt have missed to read this in school days even if you were not a much fan of his poems. - if not i am not sure - if you would have come across not sure if you have the other language poets poem in school.ofcourse in TN it is not there - some time i feel bad for being so. i didnt have the opportunity to read and enjoy few of the best poems of telgu. khabir and tulsi - i read coutersy to dhakshin bharatha saba.

seriously Deepa..it reflects..although we dont have a explanation HOW??
the satisfaction of talking your mind out is a lot better than building up the tension inside..

But then always make a point that the intent of the talk wasnt to insult him/her..but to set things straight..parting amicably is a art thou........

cheers..

Yeah, I know what you mean about avoiding people you're pissed off at.

Have a great weekend. The weekends are always better when you're in a good mood.

Of course you're right!!!
Its not your looks or external appearance that matters..but your attitude and the way you carry yourself!!!

No wonder, several people who are hardly fit or good looking have become world-famous actors & actresses just by their positive attitude!!

now i understand.
when a women looks elegant and poised, it means she has just kicked smone's butt. :)
yes, it is very satisfying to put some troublesome people in there place.

Fleiger said...

Aah, Deepa is back, elegant as usual. ;)

Yes, it is better to clear misunderstandings, even if it is the last thing you do with a person. And how you feel often reflects in how others see you (or maybe, you don't care how others see you)

Hi Deepa,

I just have gone through a few of your blogs, and in simple words, it's great. I never knew you have such a wonderful prception on the nature and the happenings around you. The way you see the things and put it down is really beautiful. Since I know you in person, but never knew about you, it still confuses me. Sure to say that I would be a regular reader for ur blogs hereafter.
